Performance
The message is clear and unmistakable: force, power and dynamics. With direct fuel injection (DFI) and VarioCam Plus, the uprated 3.8 liter six-cylinder rear engine of the 911 Carrera GTS models generates 408 hp at 7,300 rpm. Maximum torque is 310 lb.-ft.
A top track speed of 190 mph is achieved by the rear-wheel models and 188 mph by the models with all-wheel drive. The Coupe models accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, the Cabriolet models in 4.6. The optional Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) further improves acceleration, reducing these times to 4.2 and 4.4 seconds respectively. The throttle response is more direct and acceleration is sportier. The engine power is 23 hp higher than that of the 911 Carrera S models. This was made possible by the redesigned intake manifold, the modified cylinder heads and the optimized engine electronics.

6-speed manual gearbox
Accurate and involving: the six-speed manual gearbox is the link to each and every gear. The cable-operated gearshift unit is designed for optimum progression through the gears and the gear lever is insulated from the engine and gearbox. With minimal resistance, the gear lever throw is short and precise, enabling a rapid gearshift action and positive response.
Sport exhaust system
If you want to be heard, it's better to speak forcefully rather than loudly.
The sports exhaust system follows this principle. Fitted as standard in the 911 Carrera GTS models, it makes the typical Porsche sound more powerful, more resonant, and more sporty.
The sound varies with driving behavior, ranging from a robust output during normal driving to a distinctly more aggressive tone during performance use. The sport exhaust system is activated using a button on the center console.The look, like the acoustics, has a clear accent. The tailpipes are painted black on the outside, and are polished on the inside. They are also nanocoated, which makes them particularly easy to clean.
