Porsche Sales Continue to Rise

As German auto maker Porsche continues to create a wider range of vehicles, their sales are constantly on the rise. 2011 was no different, it was a fantastic year for the company. Family friendly, high performance sedans like Porsche Panamera have helped exceed projected goals.

The company delivered 25% more sports cars in 2011 than during previous years, Porsche Centre Doha announced in a statement. Many of these vehicles were picked up at Porsche of Fremont located at 5740 Cushing Parkway, Fremont, CA.

109,709 units of the Porsche 911, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, and Panamera were sold - compared to  88,033 last year, it is a phenomenal advancement. In November 2011 alone, they sold 9,318 units, despite a changeover in sports car models. "In the current year, we have already set new customer delivery and order book records," said Bernhard Maier, Porsche AG board of management member for sales and marketing.1

Global growth weakened slightly later in 2011. But there are variations by country: in Italy, sales increased by 31.2% after a Porsche facility was opened in Milan. With the introduction of roomier models in North American, and plans for economic (ie: more affordable) models, we'll see this trend head up hill into 2012.
