Porsche is brining a very unique style to the hood of the a Porsche 911. The "Colección Goméz" features a wide range of South American artists working over the hood of a Porsche 911 with their artistic style, and it is currently on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.
The Exhibition will be on display from September 20th, 2011 until January 8th, 2012. There are 24 colorful Porsche 911 hoods on display from 19 of South America's most talented artists, including Pablo Atchugarry, Rogelio Polesello, and Jorge Ferreyra Basso. Each artist has a different approach to unleashing their artistic style on the unconventional canvas before them.
More specifically, a plethora of different materials were used in crafting these unique works of art, such as enamel, acrylic, even tire rubber. And, with such a wide range of talent, there are really no two bonnets that are alike. Some are simple and compliment the paintjobs you'd normally find on the 911, while others contrast them starkly with their vivid color and wild imagery.
Who is the man behind all of this? Jorge Gómez, an art lover and fan of Porsche, organized the project. Porsche of Fremont applauds Goméz for his exquisite taste and style. What's more is that Goméz isn't content with merely showing the world his work in an exhibit; he actually takes it on the road! Goméz' own Porsche 911 GT2 has often been spotted sporting one of these unique works of art in place of the car's stock bonnet from time to time. And, with so many to choose from, he'll always have the most talked about 911 on the road!
Of course, Porsche of Fremont, located at 5740 Cushing Parkway, Fremont, CA, already considers every new Porsche on the road today to be a finely crafted work of art. If you'd like to see what we mean, then feel free to schedule a test drive by contacting us online or by phone at (510) 623-1111.
